Default Side Airbag Light - 2000 TL

Howdy,

I have recently acquired a 2000 TL (great car ). I notice that the side airbag light flickers when I am doing tight cornering to the left at moderate to high speeds.

Has anyone else seen this? Does it indicate a potential problem?

Thanks!

Did you have anything lying on the seat?

That light means your side air bag is disabled, for what ever reason like a child or brief case. If an adult is in the seat sitting properly, it should not come on.

Default Thanks

I guess I don't remember whether I had something light on the seat or not. I'll keep an eye on it, and if I only see the light when there is something small on the seat, and never see it when the seat is empty or an adult is sitting there, I guess I'll assume it is working as designed ....

thanks, bruec
