Default *sigh* What I could do with about 2 grand.

Hey everyone, I curently own a 97 integra ls, and am a huge die-hard prelude fan, and yesterday at work, my friend walks up to me and says "Hey Mike, I know you like preludes and what not so I figured I'd let you know my friend is selling his 1998 with 85,000 miles for 2 grand." My jaw dropped, and then I was pissed that I didn't have 2 grand and that I couldn't trade my car in yet. Still brainstorming ideas as to how I may be able to make 2k pop out of my arse ;p

(the car is so cheap because the paint is began to fade and the dude's g/f is moving to england, so he is selling his car quick so he can go with her, doh!)

Whoa! That should be like 9k right now. Dayum. GET IT NOW!

If the car is in better condition than your current car, do it.

If not, take a loan, buy the car, sell yours when you have enough time to get a good price for it, and make some money on the deal!

Good luck man, keep us posted on what happens!

Buy a ski mask and rob a bank.

Whatever you do, do it fast.....don't let anyone steal your deal.

has anyone thought about this car having far more problems than advertised... because i (for example) have a 2000 saturn sc that i've crashed 3 times, leaks oil, and brakes down on me all the time... (which is why it's just sitting in the drive way) and i can tell some idiot that i'll sell him the car for 2 grand because of old paint and a cracked windshield and a few other reasons... but in reallity i'm selling him the car for that price because i know the real worth of the car! and i know a saturn doesn't compare to a prelude. but i'd make sure what i'm getting into before i buy it... i'm sorry i'm not trying to rain on your parade... but if it sounds too good to be true... it probably is!!! my 2 cents.

You could buy the car though, do a full rebuild, replace a few more things, and still make a ton of money on it.

Shoot, I would buy it for 2 grand even if it didn't run. You could earn back more than that just parting it out. But of course, check it out before you buy it. 85,000 is pretty good for a 98.
