Default Would you buy a car off ebay?

What are your guys opinions on buying a car off ebay. I'd only be buying it from a group/person that has sold thousands on there and has good feedback. The catch is I wouldn't get to actually see the car (I'm lookin at Nissan Xterra's) in person but I'd be getting it a couple thousand less than anywhere else I've been looking. Any opinions or experiences appreciated!

Just because you bid and win /= a contract. I don't care what the auction says, it's a scare tactic (of sorts). If the owner misrepresents the item in the auction, that auction is null to begin with. I would buy a car on eBay, but to save a big headache:

1. Bid on a car that is within 100-200 miles.
2. Buy from a dealer only.
3. Kickass feedback rating is a must.

i bought my car off of eBay, and i havent really had problems w/ it, except for the dreaded SS auto in 5th gen preludes, but i got it for cheaper than blue book and i flew out there to pick it up, and the guy from the dealer said if we didnt like it, then he would buy us a plane ticket back

i guess it all depends on who you're dealing with and buying from
