Default What's with girls rockin the army boot look?

Maybe this is only happening here in super fashion-forward Madison (), but there's this new trend I've been seeing lately. I have no idea what they call it, but essentially it's girls wearing any kind of boot that goes a ways up the leg, with jeans rolled up to a point near the top of the boot so you can see the boot. I've seen girls doing this with ugg boots, with high heel pointy toe boots, with freakin rainbow colored galoshes, pretty much any boot that goes up kinda high on the leg.

At first I thought it was just a way for girls to wear boots, show them off, and at the same time not get the cuffs of their jeans dipped in the inevitable slushy puddles that are always on the ground this time of year. But it's gotten beyond that--it's a style that I see out at the bars when people aren't dressing for the weather.

What the shit is going on?
