In preparation for GT4, I took the plunge and bought a few items.

Newegg has the wheel at a great price. After shipping and the extended warranty, it came out to $120. Logitech has a $20 MIR when you send them a copy of the receipt, the UPC, and a copy of the receipt when you buy GT4.
Close to $400 after shipping. I don't want to hear it, i'm still getting over it my self. You can get pretty much the same thing here for $150 http://www.hyperdriveamerica.com/index.html

i'd rather get the bobear one with box frame rather than tube frame. the tube frame looks like the diameter is too small for longevity.

The steering wheels never reacted fast enough for me in GT3.
Like the time it took to go from full locking left, to full locking right, was slow. Not in turning the wheel, but just in the game actually recognizing the movement -- it was like slightly behind/delayed a little.
Similar to my Volkswagens Drive-by-Wire throttle....
Maybe they'll be better in GT4.
