How do you drive rally cross? or... playing Collin McRae video games
I'm used to the world of grip and am new to the (spectator) world of rally cross. I've downloaded a few vids and am playing Collin McRae for Xbox.
So... what's the driving technique?
- it doesn't appear that you can really do the grip driving method (straight line brake, trail brake turn weight transfer, racing line, unwind, accelerate)
- "drifting" seems to be the best way to "go fast"
- I'm using the brake to kick out the tail into oversteer to make sure I'm pointing at the apex and then drifting the car through the turn while throttling the gas to get me through it. (lots of tire spin)

WTH? The question still stands. I just said what I'm doing... not that it's the right way. I'm looking for the right way. Or am I doing it right?
Misinterpretation is :ghey:

You have to use a combination of drift, grip, and braking etc.
Its an all around racing technique using whatever you have at your disposal to get the best time you can.....in short there is no wrong way.
