I driving it yesterday and i rolled down the rear windows and i was going about 40 and i started hearing this throbbing noise. It was sort of deafening. I rolled the windows back up and the noise stops. The car is brand new, i mean 100 miles only from an acura dealership so i'm curious, does anyone else's TSX make this noise? I'm thinking it's from poor aerodynamics because i read somewhere that it can lead to excess noise.

 

I believe the noise has more to do with noise resonance wavelengths of your open window being beaten with wind. The TSX has amazing aerodyamics, but not with the windows down :slap:

 

I think thats almost with everycar, just dont roll the back windows down as much or open back with front windows open also.

True, can't be too careful, but it's also true that it happens to almost any car when the REAR windows are down. First time I heard it, thought it was gonna blow my ear drums out.

 

That's not quite what pretentious means, but sure.

Like said above, that's normal with all cars...I'm suprised this is the first time you've experienced it.
