Default Lookin' at new intake manifold.

I was lookin at getting a new(er) one. I was so gonna' get the Venom manifold, untill I saw the price. I found a nice Skunk2 for 270$, it doesn't have a very nice looking finish though (from what I saw in the pictures).

Then I found an OBX for like 125$. I heard that OBX was startin' to get their shit together and make decent products now. So should I go with the Skunk2 or OBX? Price really isn't an issue, but if the OBX is relativly close to the Skunk, I'd rather get it. Just gimme' some input when someone gets the chance. Thanks.

I personally would go with the Skunk2. I still don't trust OBX, and probably never will, despite what they say. You get what you pay for and OBX is complete garbage.

Alright, I see. Is there any other companies that I should look at? The manifold I got now is practically OEM, but new and polished that I got from a honda garage. It was really cheap and I want a new one, haha might as well give you my life story, but yea. Let me know.

It all just depends on how much you are willing to spend. I would personally go with the Skunk2 manifold because it is fairly cheap and it is a quality product. Most other manifolds will cost you out the ass and are built more for larger displacement or turbo engine applications.

The welds on that OBX manifold look like complete ass. You wouldn't want to blow the welds off the intake manifold. Sorry I couldn't help it.
The skunk2 is nice and we have some vendors here on HAN that can give you a good price on it.
I have an LS and wouldn't waste my time upgrading the intake manifold unless god sent me the gift of an upper rpm powerband.

Unless you have a reason for better airflow, like a turbo or larger profile cams.
