Ok guys/gals I have a built h22a4 with Eagle Rods,JE 9:1 Pistons,AEBS sleeves. My power goal was 600 but but if I can hit anything in the mid 500 range i will be happy. I would also like my torque to be in the 370-410 range. The turbo am using is a sc63 BigShaft turbo.what else do you think i should get for me setup? Can I run big turbo cams? The car will see the street once or twice a week if that. Also it will be on race gas about 80% of the time.I have some parts already so if it will help you out in the advise you give i will post up. I wouldn't trust Eagle rods up to that much power. Look into Crower or Pauter. The sleeves will hold just fine though.

What else do you have done? What EMS? What injectors? What all is done to the fuel system? I hope you have more than just a few internals and a big turbo...

 

As far as the fuel system goes I have the 255LPH intank pump,AEM Fuel Rail,AEM adjustable Regulator and 1600cc injectors.The fuel lines are all stock. The engine management am not sure what to go with but really leaning towards the AEM EMS. See I was thinking the same thing about the rods but I tought they were good for up to "700hp" and I wanted to make 600whp or at least mid 5's and tought that I would be past the safe zone on the rods.


The block is built but the head is bone stock for now I want to put some big turbo cams in there but I cant find any Info at all. I really dont know what brand to go with I just want to go with a product that if I have a problem I don't have to play phone tag all day.I just want good customer service over all.

My flywheel is stock the tranny that I use is the h23 but am also looking for some info on custom gears to match the power I make. The clutch is a ACT 6puk clutch and heavy duty pressure plate.

eagles will be fine. they have a 600hp rod and a 900hp rod if you want peice of mind get the 900hp rod but 600 should be fine. there are plenty of cars out there over 500 on eagles. everything else looks good for 500hp. also look into a GT35R instead of the SC63 if it is a street car. the 35R will spool much faster

 

yeah I always liked the 35R but the guy who will be doing the install said to go with the 63 with the "S" housing so that's what I bought. As far as the rods go I have no Idea if I have the 900hp or the 600hp rods I just told him how much power I wanted and he said he can get eagle rods for 500 so I just gave him the money. I have never seen a part number for anything for the block I just give the money and say get it done. so all in all the pistons and rods ran me 1200 and the sleeves cost me another 500 and the labor was a G. It's not a street car It will just see the street when I see trailer queens out on the prowl. Anyway am having a real hard time finding a manifold for the h22 I mean I can find manifolds but none supports the 48mm pro gate that I have and that sucks. Where should I look and what quality parts do you recomend I get that i dont have already?Thanks for the info guys/gals.

 

you got the hook up on sleeves for sure. look into inline pro mani's. they might allow for that gate.

 

1600CC injectors?! isn't that a little overkill. it's gonna have trouble idling I would think. I'd change those out for some 1000CC

 

I didn't know they made them that big.

 

if it isn't a street car idle really doesn't matter and I would rather have some room to play than get 1000's and not have enough.

 

It's not a street car and the 1000cc injectors was $360 and the 1600cc injectors was $370 shiped so for ten bucks more I went with the bigger injectors. I called inline pro and they said they don't have a manifold for the "H" series motor. I might just have to deal with revhard. I like full race manifold but no one I know can get an eliminator kit for the front mount because that will have to be removed to run that manifold as far as i know.do you guys know where I can get this from?
