DIY Tails
I am kinda getting sick of the plain old altezza tails, but dont want to buy the carbon fiber tails yet, or at least not til the car is painted. So i decided to do something different to these lights and it hardly cost me anything. I went to AutoZone and bought a can of Gunmetal wheel paint and planned to paint the lights gunmetal gray to give them a new look. First i had to heat them up to open the casing up. I set the oven to 325 degrees and once it was ready, i put the lights in for about 2-3 minutes.
That opened the lights up and made them look like this.
Then I masked them off and started to spray them.
And here's how they turned out!
Now all I have to do is heat them back up and hold them together and put them back on.

nicely done. I did the same thing to my friend's real tezza lights off his lexus.
If anyone wants to do the same, be sure to put a metal pan under the light like d16y8hcivic did or you could end up deforming it.
Another way to do it is to put the light in a tub of some sort of alcohol (paint thinner?) and leave it for couple days and wait for the sealant to dissolve, or so I hear. I haven't personally tried this method so it might not work.

how would stock tails make me different? i would look just like the old lady who bought a honda because of its reliability... i know a lot of people have altezza's, but all of those people at least have the worth to upgrade their car, stock tails are anyones lights... go ahead and flame, but i am more creative then you even if altezza's are common...

Thats why u mod the car in different ways... So it dosnt look like every old ladies car... For starters, most old ppl drive Buicks, Caddies, or big boat cars... And second, altezzas arent different anymore, that was my point... And, no sorry but your wrong, not even close to all these ppl who have altezzas, have 'the worth to upgrade their car'... Alot of ppl (even my g/f) have a stock @$$ car, with altezzas on it... Anyone can go on eBay and get a set for >$100, how is that 'creative'? The first thing I think of when I hear the word 'rice', is altezzas... Thats why the first thing I removed from my car after I bought it, was the altezzas... Not trying to cut anyone down, if u like them, sport them... Dont let me or anyone else tell u how to mod your car... Im just stating my opinion, I personally would rather sport some OEM stock tail lights, but I would really prefer a nice set of JDM tails... Now that, would be different... Atleast for now, untill everbody starts getting them...
