First of all I have to thank everyone that helped me with the locks. On to the next project, my brakes. I went to have one of those free brake inspections done and they told me i needed a new vaccuum power booster. I have never heard of one of those. Does anyone know what this thing is and is it easy to fix. In other words can I buy the part and do it myself.

 

It is the big black circular thing that comes out of the firewall connected to the brake master cylinder. How do you know it is bad? I think it is relatively difficult to replace. I would suggest getting a service manual for your car so that you can test to confirm it is bad and if it needs replacing, it will show you how. It also helps when you do maintenence like this to have one.
