Default Help! Broken Manual Window on 96 civic dx

I couldn't roll my passenger side window up or down because the handle was just all loose and hanging there. So I opened the door and the rod-like part that connects the window crank to the regulator was rusted and the "tabs" that seemed to be holding it in place were all broken off. I don't know the name of that part so I can't look for a new one.
Could someone please tell me the name of that part (i drew it in the attached picture), and also if you could tell me anything I should know to try and install a new one, I'd really appreciate it.
P.S.> I was thinking of just welding the old one back in place, as it still worked when I held it in the right position and turned it with pliers...although, I don't know anything about welding.. Thanks

Check out an Auto Recycler to buy the window regulator (I dont think they sell individual pieces like that just the entire assembly).

When my window got ko'd and my regulator was bent I ordered the part and saved a lot of moola (over the dealership that is). HOWEVER - make sure you're getting the correct part for your car and save your reciept as mistakes do happen (hence I didnt get to fix my window. . .hooray for saving money).

Welding could work too.
