Default tranny question

i m preparing on doing a mini-me conversion on my 93 civic and i have heard that the best tranny would be one of a civic ex, why would that be. And where are the tranny codes location and what are the codes for an ex tranny. Sorry for the other ad about the vtec question i was mixt up.

not sure about the tranny codes, but the ex tranny is the best cause it has the shortest gearing out of the d series engines.

the 90-91 crx/civic SI is the transmission with the lowest gear ratios.

the crx/civic si tranny is cable clutch while the 93 civic is hydro clutch. so unless you want to do a conversion, your best bet is the ex tranny :happysad:
