Default Anyone used GM Syncromesh in there tranny?

I was wondering if anyone had used GM Syncromesh in the manual tranny. My new tranny grinds a bit and the guy from Hmotors told me to use it. Has anyone used it? I have a B16 tranny with a Kaaz LSD BTW. Thanks

I'm running a 1:1 mixture of Pennzoil Synchromesh (same as the GM stuff) and Honda MTF on my Si tranny. To be honest, I ran it b/c I wanted to experiment...Synchromesh is a GL4 oil and I was concerned that there wouldn't be enough lubrication. However, I was more concerned about my synchros, so I gave it a try. I haven't had a problem with it yet, but there's nothing to say that it won't grind in the future.

I suppose you can always switch back to MTF if it continues to grind...tranny fluid change doesn't take long anyhow.

Been using GM Synchromesh for over a year now in my cable LS tranny. It's been working great all through temp. ranges of 90+ down to -13dg recently. It shifts smoothly with no grinds in all these conditions. Plus I get it for $8/bottle, can't go wrong with that!
