They say you always lose a fair amount when you do a trade. It's just part of the deal, however you may be able to get a better deal than expected.
I guess I haven't been any real help, but I figured I throw in my 2 cents.

Your best bet is to sell private, you will always get more. Do some research online to see what your car goes for, kbb.com, go on ebay.com and look for a like car, see what its selling for, look in your local paper, etc. Once you konw all that, go to the dealer and see what they'll give you, then make your decision. Good luck

Kelly Bluebook numbers can be found on line too. You put in your mileage, condition, etc, and you get a good figure. You can print that then whip it out if someone tries to lowball you.

Remember that dealers use a whole-sale book, (NADA book), KKB says your car is worth 13.5 but the whole sale book will say something like 10,000.

For example i just got rid of a 98 jetta vr6, KBB said its value at somewhere in the low 6's (in fair condition) the dealer book (nada book) said its worth 4500 (in perferct condition)- minus being over miles, minus some of the issues i was having with it, etc. (thats why i bought a acura type s, german engineering aint all its cut out to be) Hope this helps

I'd take that car right now if I could. It isn't the top of the line RSX but it's still a great car in my opinion. I've kind of been wanting an 02+ Si lately so I guess I would actually rather have that.

I had a feeling that's what you'd find. You just haven't owned your car long enough to be able to (logically) trade it in.

It's hilarious. The USDM EP3 is one of the most unpopular Hondas ever sold here, but now that we know the line's done for, they're suddenly very popular.

I have a feeling Honda will sell more 2005 EP3 in the USDM than they sold 2002-2004 combined!
