Ok...so I have my CF hood on my RSX now...and it fits very snugly to the front and everything..uses the stock latch and I haven't had any problems. It doesn't seem to budge at all in the front..even in high winds...Do i need hood pins? I don't think that I do...but there are people who are like OMG you need hood pins the hood's gonna blow up on you etc. The only thing I notice is that it seems to flex a little when driving at high speeds at the top of the hood near the windshield it flexes a bit...is this normal for the hood to flex some? I'm thinking it is because it's CF so it's lighter..but I just wanted to see how other's CF hoods are on their cars. Thanks
I have a CF hood on my 95 LS and havent had any problems. My friend had a hatch that he had a CF hood for and he had it for 2 years before he sold it and he drove 150mph down the freeway racing and drove around on it and it never came up.
I have a CF hood on my 95 Integra and havent had any problems. My friend had a hatch that he had a CF hood for and he had it for 2 years before he sold it and he drove 150mph down the freeway racing and drove around on it and it never came up. You could put them for safety but I have heard that the CF can crack where you drill the holes.
i had two sets of cf hoods...neither of them i had hood latches to begin with...on my last one though i added hood pins for my own piece of mind and another deterance to theft (sorta)
