Default Sqeaky Clutch?

I've got this problem with my clutch that just surfaced a couple days ago...it seems every time I depress the clutch or let off on it, it sqeaks, and it sounds like it's coming from outside the engine compartment...is it just something that needs to be oiled? Prior to that, the clutch would make a clicking noise when I pushed it in all the way...but it would go away if I pumped the clutch for a couple times.

Any ideas what this could be or what I need to do? It's on a 97 Civic DX...thanks for any help guys!

Common consensus on previous threads like this say it's the throwout bearing pivot pin in the bearing fork that needs taken out and re-greased.

So it's not an issue with the tranny or clutch needing to be replaced? I tried doing a couple searches and came up with nada except some GSR's having different problems...

You might also try checking/bleeding the clutch system fluid. A squeak would be metal on metal rubbing, but a more serious clutch problem would normally surface under accleration conditions.

Well, I checked with a friend who works on engines and he says that it's either the springs or the cable itself...he noticed it went away past the engagement point, so I can either live with it or have it serviced, which means taking out the tranny from the body. So I think for the time being, I'll live with it since it's not a serious thing. Thanks for the help!
