I gotta big ole hole in my front pipe that leads to the muffler. Hi all, I am new here and I just bought a honda accord 91 lx about a month ago. I turned my car this morning and noticed white smoke coming from the underside of my car close to the front and then it went away, upon driving the car i noticed it sounded like a drag racer. I took it to colemuffler and they estimated the cost to replace the font and middle pipes for 400 dollars i aint got that kinda cash so I was wondering how long a window do I have that I can drive the car for before it totaly goes south???? I intend to replace the pipes myself soon and I found all the parts and it comes to a grand total of 118 dollars. thanxs!

 

well, a bad exaust system is not going to blow your motor or anything, it will just sound bad.. although it might screw up the backpressure and make the engine run diffrent.. but you could drive it for a while like that

Yeah. It's a Honda. It should be fine.

But screw that 400 dollar crap. You could get a better exhaust for that much. One that would flow better than your stock pipes without being really loud...
