Default b16a gsr?

i bought my gs-r over the summer and i just replaced the head gasket but i noticed on my block it said b16a and if im not mistaken gs-r's are b1c8 or something close
wtf??

GSR is B18C1. You got screwed.

That happens from time to time. Your car is probably a theft recovery car, the original B18C was stolen and some cheapass dropped in a B16A to replace it to save $1-2k.

its was bought at an auction...
im pretty sure the head is gs-r tho
cause i got vtec and all that...
and i mean lol my cars not slow..
i paid 4000 for it its a 94 4 door
because i looked and the oil pan is a different size and some other stuff
is it possible they slapped a gs-r head on a different block?

ya a gsr head would fit on a b16 block, it could just be a b16 Engine Head and Block

The B16A head looks identical except for the normal upturned intake manifold, while the B18C has a dual stage inverted manifold. They are not interchangeable. Besides that, above the exhaust manifold, the B18C head will have "P72" cast into it, while the B16A will have "PR3" cast in.

B-series DOHC VTEC heads are interchangeable.

What state are you in? In Texas, you would have a case for deceptive trade practice act. In California, your car very likely would fail smog. Hopefully you got a very good price on it, wonder what type of transmission you have.
