i just got my 15x7 rota slips for my 01 gsr and am considering buying my friends del sol 14 inch rims with tires to use as winter wheels. will the del sol rims fit on the gsr even tho they are smaller. they have the same offset but im worried about the brakes. thanks in advance everyone.

 

It depends. I've heard of cases where people didn't need to put anything. Otherwise you could shave off part of your caliper or just use a spacer.

 

It will work I installed a set of 14" wheels on the front of my Integra from my 88 Accord and it clears. 14" wheels are the smallest wheels you can fit on the GS-R's front end.

 

side question...did u guys notice ur speedo was off after switching ur tire sizes or did it work ok?

Speedo differences are negligible. There will be a difference of about ~3-4mph but nothing to really worry about.

14's will be fine!
if you put 195/60r14 (like stock Del sol), then your spedo wont be affected at all!!>

Read your door jam and owners manual, the two tire sizes listed are 195/60/R14 and 195/55/R15.

dont put 13" rims on, those wont clear the calipers!!
