Default window visors

what i understand about the situation is

Honda Access = screws & clips

Weathertech = snap in window channel

ventshade = 3m tape [:ugh:]

correct?

if thats so, i want nothing to do with the ventshades. how do the weathertech look vs. teh weathertechs?

owners please speak up.

this is a potential christmas gift from my wifey and she wants to get me the good shat. h:

-edit ~ are these easy to steal? thats one concern i have. (paranoid)

i personally have ventshades on my 5g hatch and they r awesome, yeah it uses 3m but its also tuck under my side mirror so it looks kewl. my friend has it on his ek and it looks sweet.

the weathertechs tuck into the window rubberseals, i have heard stories of everynow and then of it fallin out and it comes all the way down on the sidemirrors, very ugly if u ask me, and its tinted very light makin it look cheap.

the honda access ones is held by clips and metal tabs, study but sucks if u manage to snap one. and did i mention they r expensive. looks the best, fits the best, all oem, but the price tag has some ppl lookin elsewhere.

hope that help u a bit.

If it's a present don't skimp, go for the Honda Access visors which are going to run about $130 shipped.

The weathertechs have been highly talked about, but since they are second to the Honda Access visors, normally they are always out of stock. They have a lightly tinted one, (mentioned above) and they have a dark tinted one like the honda access visors (normally out of stock). Can't beat the price though.

I pretty much agree with what Outxider said about all 3. For the money, and in my application (92 Civic 4dr), the Ventshades were the best deal. Honda Access are $$$ and Weathertech only makes them for my front windows. It's true that the use of tape can be a little unsightly but it surprisingly isn't too bad to me since the tape is black. Also, the dark tint on the Ventshades makes them really nice when it's sunny and hot out. As Outxider mentioned, the Weathertechs aren't tinted as dark.

As for theft, I haven't had any problems with that...yet. :knockonwood: Though I admit that the Ventshade visors are probably way too easy to steal.

I happen to know that Collin is out of town until later this week so he'll probably chime in later.

ive used the ventshades on numerous cars...and for being the 3m tape stuff ive never had a problem with them comming off or looking jacked up.....of course ive never even heard of the other 2 brands..but IMO from personal use the ventshades look slick and serve their purpose well

I agree with this man 100%.
I use Ventshades and they're awesome. I came across a set of Access for really cheap (courtesy of doood) but the Ventshades haven't let me down, so why change.
