strut bars?
im just surfing the internet and found some front and rear strut bars for 50 shipped... from ebay. i got a 94 civic coupe,, 13' donuts in front and 14' dounuts in rear. and stock suspension, not lowered or anything. it do kinda suck trying to go on a corner fast on it. so.. will these strut bars (front and rear) help alot? like what parts of driving will it help and will there be a big difference since my springs are stock. thanks
You should upgrade those wheels and tires. I have a 98 accord and i went from 15s to 17s and the handling got 10x better. I can corner much faster and the understeer is not as bad as it used to be. The ride quality is a little worse, but it is nothing you can't deal with in everyday driving
Of course you can get those bars if you like the convenience of stuff coming to your doorstep. But I gotta go with Kai on this.
About all crappy bars are gonna get you is a few questions like - what is that for?

you wont feel a thing with shit tires.
I noticed a little difference when I put on the front upper and rear lower (neuspeed), but didn't feel the front lower... I had kumholios at the time. I wouldn't trust the ebay bars to do much of anything.

i was thinkin bout in the future.. getting some 14' hx wheels + some lowering springs and just some basic strut bars. the way i think of it is that strut bars are just metal etc.. shouldnt matter much, i might be wrong.
I agree. You will not notice a difference. I cannot even notice a difference with my car and I autocross my car 40 times a year. And I'm running specific tires for autocrossing.
Spend the money on a sway bar you will notice a bigger difference.

well, I'm not going to say they don't to anything. I certainly did notice a difference in my car... though not a huge one. Another thing to think about Mike, is that your car is ~5 years old while mine is nearly 13... I put my strut bar and rear lower tie on when it had over 170k on the chassis.
But as I mentioned earlier, and as the gist of these threads usually goes... if you're looking to make significant handling improvements, there are better places to start. And as with most components, theres a reason everyone tells you to steer clear of garbage products.
