Default Anybody using a Black Widow BWN-500P 2 way paging Alarm in their TYPE R ??

I just got a Black Widow BWN-500P 2 way paging Alarm installed by Best Buy. Every three days or so I need to jump start the car because the battery dies. I removed the fuse from the alarm and left the car alone for a week to find out if the alarm was instead the problem. It was indeed. My worries is that the stock ITR battery just does not have the capacity to support this 2 way alarm if let alone for 3 days.

My question is... Does anybody else have this alarm system ?? Are you using the stock ITR battery ?? Do I need to upgrade ?? or are there other reasons/ problems why the car battery dies every 3 days ??

Bring it back to Best Buy and tell them about your problem.

That's one of the advantages you get when you pay some 'big store' to do work. They should back up everything.

What good is an alarm if the battery doesn't work?

The battery shouldn't be a problem. I have a hawker battery which is much smaller than the OE unit and I have a 2way Viper paging system.. I have had 0 problems w/mine.

There must be something else drawing on the system.
