I just got my 2002 RSX yesterday. I've been over at the CLub RSX site and noticed that a lot of heads talked about how the RSX is so easy to dent. Something about how the RSX is missing some dent protection that earlier Integras and other Honda Cars have.

Is this true? I got my certified pre-owned yesterday and already noticed one ding right behind my passenger door. I may have over looked this in the Acur Dealership's lot.

Now the biggest coporate for dents of course would be parking. I'm really anal about parking. I'll park 10 blocks from everyone to avoid parking mishaps. Here in NYC there's a lot of that shit.

I've heard people complain of dent cities on their RSX during hail storms. On my 1991 Honda Accord (which I sold), whenever we had hail storms (YES, we get them in NYC too), I can't recall ever having issues with dents as the result of them.

Tell me what I'm bound to deal with when it comes to the surface of this car. I have a NightHawk Black Pearl 2002 RSX.

 

I can only comment on my own experiences -- I got my RSX in Feb of 03 and still don't have a single dent. (I hope I didn't just jinx myself...)

 

well it sucks cuz you have black which is the easiest color to notice dents and dings.
but like said the rsx did not come with door moldings to prevent door dents and dings. you can get them from the dealer but they take away from the aesthetics of the car imo. it is one of those things that you should be wary of where you park and your surroundings. the rsx does not seem to be any less "stronger" then any other honda/acura i have owned or driven, but i have about 3 door dings on my car and i have nbp as well.
