Is removal of rear window defroster possible?? Mine is busted by previous owner somehow. Id like to remove all the ugly orangish lines accross and around hatch window if thats possible to have a somewhat clear view outta my rear window. Lameass coments like "i wouldnt do that, or thats illegal or thats a reason to get pulled over" should be kept to oneself at all times. thank you.

I would try using one of those razor blade scrapers, and try to shave it off. That might do it. it shouldn't be that difficult to scrape it off with a razor blade.

Interesting idea. Can't you fix it to make it work?

yes you can. if the lines look something like this ________ ___________ throughout the back window, there are kits that you can get at automotive stores, and basically all it is, is a bottle with liquid metal in it, much like whiteout. and you paint it on to connect the lines.

I forgot to mention this, but I have used those kits before, and I found the best way to apply the stuff was to mask off each line that needs to be repaired, so that you can paint the stuff on and after you peel the masking away you get a nice crisp line... FYI.

I should look into that. Two of my lines aren't working.

They work quite well, and the kits are about 9-10 dollars,
