Default 2003 Accord aftermarket Pioneer stereo installed pics

I went with the Metra kit for 2003 Accords that don't have crazy navi or onscreen AC controls. I put the Pioneer DEH-P7600MP in there because my stock deck was skipping so much that I literally wanted to drive into the center dividers on freeways.

Metra kit: $160 shipped.
Pioneer DEH-P7600MP: $220 shipped.
Wiring harness: $15
Installation: $80

Total: $475

Here are the pics:

For comparison, this is how the stock stereo looked like:

What do u guys think?

yeah but it's the worst stock stereo I've ever used/seen. I would have been happy with it if it worked fine and provided more power, but it's a POS. The new one, I think looks quite clean though. I'm happy with it so far, it looks way better than stock at night.

i called them up and they said they dont support skipping problems in burned CDs (CDRs). i tried some of my CDs (even freshly burned) and they skip a lot. i also tried to plug a CDR into my friend's 2dr 03 accord and he had the same skips...
well, the mp3 support of the pioneer HU is nice, and the ability to read CD-RWs. It pushes way more power to the speakers, the sound is nicer.

Well the stock setup looks better, but it could be worse. Sometimes you gotta sacrifice.

I feel you bro, better to function and sound good than look good. But I will say that the fit of the kit would bug me, it doesn't look like it sits flush up top. And the knobs look cheesy. But these are just lil details that im rediculously anal about, I bet it sounds and performs better, and afterall, isn't that what upgrading the sound system is all about?

you shoulda tried burning to cd-rw's instead of cd-r's, cd-r's are somtimes hard for certain systems to read, i think it's the type of ink they use...
