Default How to on - Mazda Protoge 2002 lx

Would anyone know or have changed brake pads and/or rotors on a mazda protoge 2002 lx?? I've done it to my Accord before, but I would like to know what the procedures would be for this type of car.

I would appreciate your replies.

I helped change the springs on my buddies Protege5 a few years ago, I don't remember the front or rear brakes really looking any different than the typical caliper/caliper bracket design Honda uses. Just unbolt the bottom, flip the caliper up to get the pads out, unbolt he bracket and remove the rotor, resassemble the same way just backwards. Make sure you clean everything with brake cleaner and bed in those pads.

You could do it the way I did my mother's 626... take it all apart, and then figure out how to put it back together. It takes a while, but you figure it out eventually.

The '96 626 had some funky front calipers, too.
