Default Help me decide on a mono Amp... what do you recommend?

Lately i've been looking around for a mono amp to power a single 10" in my car. I've looked around, read the reviews I could and have decided between the Alpine mrdm301

or the older (cheaper) design Alpine mrp-m350.

I like the older 'v-power' because its obviously cheaper and slightly more powerful, but the design is outdated by the newer 'V12' series amps.

I've shopped around and have been able to find both for under $200 so the price difference is not really a problem. Just looking for any positive or (especially) negative experiences with these amps.

Was also looking at JL audio but they are a bit too pricey for me. Any other suggestions for a good mono amp under $200 and around 200-300 rms would be good.

Help me decide please.

Edit* Also, I'm not looking for earth shattering bass, just want the cleanest sound possible.

Infinity Digital Beta 100. Can get em on ebay for like $50.

Still a great amp and puts out a clean 400watts mono.

I have 2 of em and they are awesome.

$50 I have to look those up.

I'm looking for class-D mono amps.

the Infinity Digital Beta 100 is a 2 channel, but can be bridged with just a switch. It's really a great performer of an amp. I've had quite a few people take a step back when they just hear one of them going, it's got a hell of a punch for such a small amp.

Have you had any problems with them heating up? Lights dimming?

well they do produce heat, nothing major though. I've had things lay on them for about 30mins while playing music and never had any probs.

Lights only dimmed when I hooked up both amps, I wasn't able to run both in the old 89 accord. One didn't really do anything I noticed to the lights.

Amps will sap the power from the rest of your cars electrical system when its close to peaking. Ex. headlights/ interior lights.
