So I just got impaled....
.....by my own surfboard, right through the cheek. It hurt like a mother effer. While in the water after falling down the wave literally threw the tip of the board right into my face. I thought I hit something that was in the water. The best way to describe the pain is to think of someone hitting you with a brick. I stood up and felt my face and my pinky inserted into my cheek and barely went through to my mouth. It also chipped a molar. Shelby, this chick I came with, was next to me and was looking in horror cause blood was gushing everywhere, but I didnt realize it because I was in semi-shock. So I cruise to the Lifeguard and they cleaned it up and said that I probably need stitches but the sad thing is, I dont have health insurance since I just quit my old job and Home Depot's dont start until after the 90 day mark. Thank God Shelbys mom is a nurse and put these tiny things on it to bring the wound together so it can heal that way but now I look like Nelly up in hur!
Funny thing is now my jaw line is all swollen and it hurts to smile or eat. But I didnt realize it while I was eating my samich and streched it pretty good and that hurt like hell. But all in all, I was pretty damn lucky it didnt hit my eye or my nose or directly in my mouth cause that would have been some serious pain. DOH!
Im gonna take a pic of it tonight when I get my camera back. ewww.

a guy teaching me to surf had to get like 12 stitches in his forehead b/c on his last ride in, his board smacked him in the face. i honestly thought there was a piece of seaweed hanging from his head b/c there was this big gush of blood.
