How much to Replace Transmission and Clutch on a 2001 Type R?
Parts plus labor, I know it's not going to be accurate, but I just want a estimate number.
thanks,
How many miles will they need to be replaced?

There shouldn't be any reason to replace the tranny.
If you need to replace the clutch & assembly (pressure plate, throwout bearing) then expect ~$300-400/parts for something worthy like clutchmasters stage 3 setup (highly recommend it for street or HPDE use).
I also recommend jumping up to using the flywheel (plus pilot bearing) from clutchmasters ~$250-350/parts.
The swap is a pita until you've done a couple & then you realize it's not that hard to do on your own & save the labor (Acura will charge ~$500 for labor alone.
If you have to replace/rebuild the tranny(gearing/case) I hope you have deeeeep pockets - labor will kill you unless you can do it yourself or have someone you can just take the case to after YOU have pulled the tranny yourself.

I was quoted ~$2100 for the trans at a local dealership here in MI.
I highly recommend the CM stage 3 clutch as well...I've had it for 2+ years with ~100 drag launches and the thing still grabs and does not slip whatsoever...the engagement is also very, very stock-like.
