I am looking for some license plate hole plugs for the front of my car. I have a 99 Teg in Adriatic Blue Pearl and was wondering if anyone has any sitting around, or knows where to get them cheaply. The Acura dealer in town can get them, but they are $7.97 each.......I thought there were cheaper than that elsewhere. Anyone have any insights? Thanks.

 

I was about to say dealer as well. I think you might have to just deal with the price because if you buy it online someplace, shipping would make it cost the same or more.

 

Dealer is your best bet. You can order them from the dealers that do discounts (len @ Baranco Acura, Bert @ Gettel Acura, etc) but shipping will force the price over the $3 savings (figure ~20-25% off).

I mean, you are looking at $16 plus tax, is it REALLY worth the extra time and effort to save a few dollars at most? (assuming you buy new, used on ebay, good luck if you can find the right color set..)

I was able to find them for $3.xx each, but after shipping it still came out to $14.xx. You were right about shipping.........ha ha

 

dude....go to the parts classifieds section. i just bought a pair for 10 bucks shipped.

 

I already checked there (and replied to the post you are referring to). That seller does not have the color that I am looking for.

 

Yeah you can't really buy cheaper stuff without getting jipped on shipping. If they have something else you want, maybe you can combine it with the license plate hole covers. If you find a better place to find them, let me know. I need some too.

I can find them for $3.xx a few places on the internet, but they hit you with a "service fee" of about $2.00 and shipping of about $5.00 - which brings your total to about $14.xx - which is about the same as the stealership down the road.
