Default where to find the check engine light plug?

I recenlty bought a new integra and the check engine light does not come on. Does anyone know where to find the check engine plug? I was wondering if the plug is loose or the dealer must have unplugged it. Also how to change the light bulb just in case its the light bulb is dead.

check and see if there is a bulb at all, first...

if this is a 94+ integra, there are 2 screws over the guage cluster... undo them, pull the bezel out and then there are 3 more screws holding the cluster in. one at the top, one on the left and one on the right. you will see them. now the cluster pulls out and there should be 3 wiring harnesses plugging into it. unplug them and take the cluster completely out, if there is a hole behind the CEL slot, then the bulb is removed.

if that dealer did in fact tamper with the CEL, he could lose his license, and IMO, he should lose it... so dont be afraid to report it to the state and have them investigate.

I just checked it yesterday and the light bulb was there but it wasn't tighten. It was very loose so that it would not turn the light on. Now that it is on the engine light is on. I kinda figure that the engine light was suppose to be on when i failed the emission test using obd2 and was told that there was suppose to be a check engine light. I have to ask another question what can cause alot of build up in the gas cap area. It build too much pressure and the it tosses an engine light and won't let me pass emissions.

too much pressure in the gas cap area should have nothing to do with emissions...

On OBD-2 cars there's a pressure sensor in the gas tank. The ECU uses that to see whether the tank's airtight like it should be. Evaporation from the tank counts as unburned hydrocarbon emmissions.

It'd be good to know the error code, but a wild guess would be either...
P1456 (90) EVAP leak - fuel tank system
P1457 (90) EVAP leak - control canister system

Too much pressure in the gas cap area could indicate a malfunctioning EVAP system.
