Default Should I buy a Prelude or GSR???

I am new to the forum and have some questions hopefully someone can answer. I am going to be buying a new car very soon, but can't decide between a '97-'99 GSR and '97-'99 Prelude. From what I have read these two cars are pretty even performance wise. The Prelude weighs more, but has more HP and Torque. The thing that I don't understand is I have read 0-60 times for the Prelude from 7.2-7.7, Motor Trend had 7.2, but Road and Track had 7.7 and for the GSR 7.1-7.2. Does anyone have an accurate time for a stock 5spd Prelude and GSR. I would prefer the Prelude because I own a 3rd Gen now and love it, plus I don't see very many around where I live, but if the GSR is faster I would rather go with that. If the Prelude 0-60 time is 7.7 and the GSR 7.1 how can they have pretty equal 1/4 mile times (from what I have read) shouldn't the GSR have a better time? Please help me decide what I should buy. Thanks for any Help!!!

as far as which car is faster they are so close the difference is negligable.
i own a GSR and love it, and have driven my friends prelude and dont like it as much. its a matter of personal opinion. my advice would be to go drive both and see which one you like better.

gearing.

i was told gs-r stock 0-60 times are 7.0-7.1

i personally prefer integras but i also love preludes.... buy what you like better, you can always modify to gain that extra 1/2 a second difference in 0-60's

buy what you like, what you can afford, and what is accessible to you. dont settle for the 2nd choice, you wont be 100% happy.

You can't go wrong with either one. i personally like preludes more but its up to you. the fact that one is a little faster to 60 mph shouldnt really be a deciding factor if you're planning on modding the car.

I say the prelude. You'll love the h22 and more low end torque will make daily driving a tad less annoying.

Thanks, that last post really helped me decide (I drive about 50 miles to work everyday, one way) also I read an article that at 70mph's the Lude is quieter than an LS400...

i love ludes. my first choice was a lude but i got a teg instead (ls) but either way it is still a good car. i love my integra but i fit better in ludes, i'm 6'2'', but like the others have said, it all comes down to personal preference.

love the 4door tegs myself, and I will say having driven and owned both, the teg is a little nicer of a gearbox, little lighter (my DC8 weighs less than a lude), and handles better, the only two things that I would give the lude over the teg is the low end torque (good 4-2-1 headers fix that) and the placement of the shift knob (teg is way down by your knee)
