I got to drive my buddies brand new broken in M3, damm that's an impressive car. I'm jeleous and I want one, or something just as fast.

how is it with the SMG as opposed to the 6spd? I drove the 6spd and was impressed with the shifts, and the clutch.

I don't like it as much, he has it set up pretty aggressive, so not really that smooth during shifting. I would get the manual because it gives you a better feel, and also save $2600

I've driven many E36 and E46 M3s and once an E30 M3. The current M3 is by far my favorite. Its quick, which is fun on its own, but the car handles so well that its hard not to love. For the same money a Corvette is quicker in the quarter mile, but I would buy an M3 before a vette.

same here, the navigation system and all the other bells and whistles it comes with makes the car worth it. I was really impressed how well the car gripped on corners. I think I scared the crap out of my buddy that owns it, but he was impressed with the performance.

I'm not really familiar with BMW's...what is SMG? I just built a M3 on their website but it didn't really give a good description.
