Hi HAN, I'm at SIGGRAPH
www.siggraph.org
It's f*cking badass. The LA Convention Center isn't as nice as the SD one though. SD > *
LACC is like in the middle of the ghetto. It's cool though. I was supposed to stay at flipped cracker's house, but homegirl in Pasadena is letting me stay over till Thursday.
Rob, hope you get this message. I won't be coming over anymore.
Thanks a lot for your patience.
- Dom

They won't let me take pics:wtc:
The security there is more ninja than last year.
(keyboard sucks, i'll type like this now)
however i can tell you what stuffs they have.
1) invisible train set. there are tracks but you can only see the train through a pda-like device and control speed, etc.
2) the latest in wacom tablets. i drew on the one where you have a real-time display right on the tablet itself. pressure sensitive to.
3) motion capture station
4) clothes that flash LED strobes in accordance to sound waves bouncing off it
5) green screen station. they can also take 2 pics of you and make it into one of those 3d-card thingies.
6) printers that can print right onto your fingernails :reechy:
7) parties from alias, discreet, art institutes, ati, nvidia, softimage, bryce, siggraph chapters, etc. i can't go because i'm not 21
wned:
8) the x-games next door at staples center (it finished sunday though). it was funny to see the clash between geeks and skaters.
9) automatic rocking chairs
10) a ball with a feather on it, held by 4 strings. while giving you a gentle tickle, it actually scans your body and makes a 3d mesh in real time.
11) animation theaters with really badass films
that's it for now. i'll be back at LACC at 9am tomorrow. pees~ :wavey:

I remember when you posted your pics from SD last year and I took a very brief glance at the website you linked to and I have one question... What does SIGGRAPH mean (I am assuming it is an acronym)?
