OK, so I ordered a new remote keyless transmitter and followed the instructions to program it (or so I thought), and I ended up with neither my new nor my old remote working, plus the alarm now goes off whenever I open a door, start the car, or pop the hood! Groan...

So, my immediate problem is how to stop the stupid horn from blaring for 2 minutes every time I start the car. Beyond that, I'd like to get my remotes working again - anybody have *correct* programming instructions for remotes with FCC ID KOBUTAH2T?

 

just pop the hood, take off the neg terminal first, then take off the pos termainal and leave it there. then, go under the dash and find the alard brain, you can either cut the red power wire, or dissconnect all the wires from it. then reconnect the battery. that should help disable it. thats what happened to my moms camry once.
