not something i usually do... maybe once or twice a year.... if that even. i prefer the hands free automatic wash (touch free)

my gf's parents bought me this Meguiars kit for Christmas last year, has the Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo and Conditioner in the box....

i just dont know what kinda sponge to use.... i cant find any of my old ones so ill just make an Autozone run.... recommendations?

this is a good week to wash my car, my family is gone and if it rains i can just pull it in the garage so my effort will actually last longer than a day (should i say when it rains later on cuz it rains everyday )

 

those touchless car washes are a waste of money, IMO. They do a horrible job of cleaning.
I washed my car yesterday when I put my new rims on. But I never wax it myself. I always pay somebody to do it. But right now it needs some bodywork and a good detailing job (like redgoober's).

 

I handwash my car every 2 weeks.

 

yeah those auto washes suck unless you go like 2 times a week after a good hand wash... otherwise there is always a film on the paint.... i notice a lot on my truck (its black)

the car looks good now.... but im afraid to take it outta the garage :happysad:

 

btw, i forget to mention that id rather get hit by a bus than have to handwash my car weekly...

 

I enjoy washing my car, I usually try to do it every week but it really depends on the weather and ends up becoming once every 2 weeks. I think its a great way to relax, spend a few hours cleaning the car and then sip a beverage of choice for a job welldone.

 

i would take much better care of my car if i had a garage. parking under a redwood tree sucks.

i like the end product and the reward but its much easier for me to call my friend, have him come get the car while im at work..... when im done the car is there waitin for me and it costs like 50 bucks.... and then i can still go home and sip the cold frosty beverage of choice

last time he did my car, it came out lookin like this:

 

I don't let anyone else clean my car, my brother helps me whenever I go home but thats because he enjoys cleaning cars as much as I do if not more.

 

I'm not a fan of hand washing, but I hate drive through car washes. I probably hand wash my car 1-2 times a month.
