Default DVD Burning speed

I have 5 DVD-R's that can burn at 4x and 50 DVD-R's that can burn at 8x...But when I use the 8x DVD-R's nero only says it can burn at 4x, it doesn't give me a higher option, it is registered aswell, so it's not a demo...anyone know how to get it to burn 8x?

And my burner is rated at 8x for DVD-R's

Lol, I've seen it, while waiting to ask a guy if something is compatabile with something, and someone is already asking them a question, it's like this.

Customer: Hey, i'm looking for like an internet connection.
Employee: Okay, what do you need? DSL? Dial up? Cable?
Customer: Well I already have cable for my tv, and i don't want to dial on my phone to get online, so how's the DSL?
Employee: :eh:
