Default Finally got the supercharger..

Well after lots of saving, I finally got myself a complete jackson racing supercharger kit, with boost and a/f gauges, colder spark plugs, boost timing controller, 160 deg thermostat, and fuel pump.
Now I gotta save up my money to get it all installed. How much would you guys spend? Theres a local honda-geek around here who can do it for 500+including dyno time, then a speed-shop quoted me at around 700..not sure who i'm gonna go with yet.

well i just wanted to make you all jealous.

for a gsr/itr/ls? regular kit or the high boost (i'm thinking regular 8lb)?

you can do that all yourself you know, minus the dyno time.

6psi in a GS-R.
I plan on upgrading to 8psi after I get all my fuel mods done and everything. I don't want any detonation AT ALL.

I know I could do it myself..but I don't really have time and wouldn't want to screw stuff up. Plus I don't know how to install boost timing controller and MAP sensor controller, etc.

Can't wait to feel that boost and hear the whine of the charger..ooh man  :woowoo:

my friend has a 8lb pulley on his JRSC for his gsr, in boost that thing whiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiines and accelerates like a mo-fo. In about a year, i'll be purchasing the JRSC high-boost (11lb) system with the Hondata computer.

but good luck with it, i hear superchargers are a waste of money on hondas though. post up the numbers after everything is finished so we can see how it runs on a GSR. hopefully you get good numbers

Yeah....I chose the supercharger over a turbo. You gotta wait for boost. Honda's already feel like a goped under 4,000RPM anyway. All I gotta do is mash the pedal for instant boost. your car *may* be faster, but mine will be more fun. :naughty:

Superchargers are nice Nothing like the feeling of mashing the gas and having linear power instead of waiting for boost to build up on a Turbo up top. Pop on a smaller blower pulley and you'll be good to go.

I drove my buddy's 94 GSR sedan with a JRSC, full on suspension and it was nice. The only thing he missed was the intake roar you get with the open element on a GSR
