So I disconnected my muffler today.......
I did this on my 00 GSR. Just wanted to see what the difference was like if I ran it with the muffler disconnected from the rear piping that has the two bolts. Sounds ricey in the 2k-4k rpms, but anything below that or above that it sounds interesting. The tone gets very deep/loud when you let go of the throttle.
Now for the butt dyno, very nice gains in the low and mid range. High end was a mess, couldn't pull for crap in 5th gear. Also, will there be any negative effect if I run it like this for too long, besides attracting unwanted attention?

The sound is getting to me now. It's gonna get connected back on today. My FD was way louder than this and I've never had trouble with the cops, just gotta drive smart and careful. Like I said, I wanted to see how much restriction the stock muffler is doing. It's not about the sound, if I wanted sound I could've gotten something better, but I do realize the risks. Oh one more thing, this setup gets shitty ass mileage

Straight pipe FC owner right here. If you want loud, I can give you loud.
