Default Acura timing belts clarification.

I came to this forum today through Google. I quickly found what I needed regarding straightening out my timing belt issue on my 91 integra. I love this place. I had to install a new head gasket on my ride after an overheat had ruined it. For those still needing clarification on the timing and timing mark on these. The person that said there's three little marks and then to the right as you look down on the crank pulley there's a single mark was correct. This represents top dead center. When yourr cams gears point straight up and the pulley is at TDC, just install the belt.

Almost right....

The arrow on the camshaft sprocket is only approximate. The TRUE timing marks are little dimples out near the teeth. They should line up flat along the top surface of the head, or the top end of the shroud between the head & sprockets. On a DOHC head all 4 dimples along with the 2 camshaft centers should all line up under a straightedge.

The arrow is only there so you don't get it completely upside-down.

Did you have your head checked after the overheat?

If you're still losing coolant after the headgasket install, your head may be warped.

Well first off, welcome to HAN.

And yeah, I'd be concerned about head warpage too. :happysad:
Hopefully, it won't be an issue.
