Default What is this 2002 3.2TL Type S worth?

Hi

I have a 3.2 TL Type S and I am wondering what to ask for it in the private market place.

Factory options and extras:

Mint condition (never winter or rain driven)
16,000 km
Pearl white
Tan leather interior
Complete aero kit
Rear spoiler
Smoked glass ( all windows)
Electronic rust inhibator system
Stainless steel exhaust from the block to muffler tips.
Racing suspension
Lowenhart rims which were a special order out of Europe
Toyo Tires
and more.

I would appreciate any info that can help me decide on what a fair price would be.

Thanks in advance.

Well lets see thats what I paid.

If the exchange rate was wrong I might be out by a few dollars but that was the total price paid for the car in Canada. Acura dealers recipt which includes the pricing for all the extras.
I guess you folks in the states pay way less for this car as described or?

Default Sucks big time.

Thanks for the two replies to this thread.

I have done some more research with respect to the book price and talking to the dealer about resell and what this car is worth. I have to say I am very disapointed with Acura overall and will NOT buy Acura again. I have a 2001 MDX and my 2002 TL Type S both of which are for sell. I was told by the dealer at the time of purchase that the resell value of this car would be very good and now I find after babing the car, not driving it in the winter etc the car has not held a good resale value and pretty much not worth the ground it sits on. This is due to the tranny problems and that Acura can't give these new cars away that they still have on the lot from 2002 and 2003.

I guess this is one of those buyer beware things. It was my fault to buy these vehicles and only have myself to blame.

I just hope others don't get sucked in as well. The new TL? Don't buy it. I am already heraing problems are arrising with this car. Take the same money and buy a 3 series beamer OR SOMETHING ELSE.

I have decide to go with a used M3. I will take the hit from the dealer for the acura @$#%$#@. Oh I'm going to get a whole 22,000 cdn for my car by an Acura dealer after spending over 50k....

Maybe I am expecting to much but when you spend over 100k in vehicles and hoping they retain their value its a real shock when you get burned.

Good luck to all of you and I hope you don't have the disappointments that I have had with Acura products.

Sorry to hear about the hit you took on your 3.2TL. I almost bought a 3.2 CL last year. I opted to sleep on the decision and check the internet for problems, etc with the car. Thank God I did. Instead I ended up buying a new(V-6) Accord. However, Honda just annouced a transmission recall on some of the 2003 and 2004 (V-6) Accords. Apparently, Honda is going the way of the American big three (GM,Ford,Chrysler). I.E... building crappy transmissions and then issuing recalls and extending the warranty on those parts. Good luck with your M3.. Have you checked to see if those have any problems?
