If that's what he says it is, make him rebalance the wheels before you buy it. If that's what it turns out to be, just add $20 to the purchase price. If that does not solve the problem, then dig deeper or look for another car.

At 43,000 miles on an ITR that was used only for general transportation, it's very unlikely that the wheel bearings or the axle joints are going. They are fairly heavy duty items and unless the car was constantly driven on road courses, you're probably OK...but make him get the wheels balanced to be sure!

Are you in the usa? in the US 2001 ITRs were yellow or black. The fact that this is CW raises the suspision of a wreck maybe. So also ask him why its white. And make sure the first 8 #'s on the fire wall under the hood say "jh4dc231" and match the dash, doors, hood etc... vin #'s

The original poster's IP address indicates he is posting from inside Canada, so don't get diverted by the CW car. Canadian cars were CW in '01 and a lot of them have made it into the States now, anyway.

I don't see anything showing were he has posted from. Thats why i asked if he was in the US first though. Ya canada has it good with more CW type-r's, I meen who would want a black type-r anyway... HAHAHAHAH : ) . But i guess you should void my comment then. But hey you could still check for matching vin's to let you know if some pannels have been replaced.

You mean like there's nothing showing that you're posting from Option One?
