Default 6x9 in my Aussie 93 Prelude

Hi,
I got stock Sony (crap) 6 inchers at the back...aparently in our country it is illegal to cut any metal part of the tray and is considered a defect. So i cant cut anything metal..so my HQ series Kenwood 7x10s have to go.

what i wanna ask is can i put 6x9s without cutting any metal ??

thanks heaps

i have 6x9s in my civic. they don't fit perfectly and look that way, but once I screwed em down really tight they sounded great. and that's what was important.
so... possibly, yeah.
