Originally my wifes car and we hoped to keep it forever, but there's a new Baby in the family now, and we must part with the old baby. Traded up to a 4-door sedan (shudder). We'll miss it and will probably be buying another one back in a few years.

I think that price is more than fair. It is very hard to find a perfectly stock ITR with low miles.

Default even though its a "type R"

I think most people will avoid that unless they are "R" freaks... Sure it is a great car, but most people will spend a few more grand for the RSX-S with no miles.

Anywho that is my .02 and to tell you the truth.. if I was in Florida right now I would buy it for that price :-)

Make it 20,500 "FIRM"

I'm no "R freak" but I know the value (not monetarily) of a 'Teg R over an RSX :slap:

Very best of luck w/the sale.

In my humble opinion, it will take you a while to get that much for the car. Although the ITR will live forever as the wonderful little homologation special that it was, the fact is that there are so many cars available right now, with newer technology and better performance, that its current value in the general retail market has suffered.

If you can wait for the word to get around, and you have the patience to deal with all the flakes and idiots in the mean time, it's possible that you'll locate an aficionado who'd pay for your car. Perhaps the car would be suited for someone who already has a track ITR and wants a more comfortable one for commuting.

Larry Widmer of Endyn had a '97 ITR that he sold a while back. He hadn't been driving it at all, and over the years had never got 'round to the project he had intended for the car. He was able to get old list for it, $25800. However, it took some time, some brokering, and some initial dealing with people he didn't especially want to be dealing with.

If you want to sell the car faster, I'd really knock a couple of grand off the price, and even then you'll have to be patient.

For whatever it's worth, a computer analysis of the value of your car gives me more like $17,000 but that is without seeing the car up close, personally. I took the mileage into account and rated the condition as the maximum available, but that doesn't mean your car isn't in better shape that what the maximum allowable simulation was.

There is still no Blue Book value for the ITR, so we're on our own and have to be patient.

I learned a long time ago that cars are not good invstments (except for that Bugatti 47S in storage), and cars are meant to be bought and enjoyed.

Very best of luck to you. I hope you get what you want out of it.

By the way, I'm not sure whether I'm happy or sad you've brought back memories of when my ITR looked like that.
