I would probably keep looking. The transmission attached to that engine will use a cable to activate the clutch, while your car is hydrolock (there are adapter kits but they aren't free). Also, that engine will have pre-OBD electronics where as your car is OBD IIa. You'll have some work finding OBD II components (like disributor, injectors, sensors and whatnot) to plug into the new engine along with probably having to convert the ECU back to OBD I (unless you swap the oil pumps for an OBD II unit with a CFK sensor).

Long story short, your better off starting with a '94+ Integra LS engine if you want a non-VTEC block, you'll have a much easier time with electronics and the tranny will fit right up (with the proper mounts). I'm not familiar with that turbo, but hopefully you can get it to spool on street, if your planning to keep the car a street car.

what if i swap a head from a b16a2 - cant i just run odbII then?? -then it will be a-ok right... as long as tha head is a new B series it should work.. even if i run a head from 94+ ls it should all work out... Tha tranny is being sold to some other kid... im thinkin about gettin a tranny outta a 94+ Ls too & puttin a Phatom grip LSD in it.

so if i swap tha head & tha tranny i should have to worry right?

please get back to me...

so wait, you want to go LS/VTEC? there is a lot more to it than just slapping the b16a head on it and calling it a day.

either a Ls/vtec-- or maybe ill just do tha BUILT LS... i know there is alot more into it when doing tha ls/vtec --- But just as far as if i trade engines w/ tha kid.. i can just swap tha head out for a OBDII head & then i can run tha OBDII Ecu correct?

hrmm question.. this just came to my mind... any gains from putting a NEWer b20 head on tha ol 91 ls bloCk... any performance gains or no?

'97 (I think the first year they made B20's) or a '94+ B18B (LS) head may get you some extra performance, but very little (the port shape and what not may be better but I don't know specifcially).

Regardless, swapping head will not fix the OBD II problem. A majority of the sensors are located on the block and the biggest issue with an OBD II swap is the CFK (crank fluxation sensor) which is actually located on the oil pump). I know your trying to build it for cheap, but I"m telling you now, your just going to end up spending more money in the long run to either fix all the problems and headaches your going to have or to just redo it right the second time. Save up some money and just buy a '94+ LS swap.

Sure thing? I'm telling you now you'll have a much easier time if you just wait, save up and buy a '94+ engine.
