Default Slipping sound during acceleration

I got some slipping sound during acceleration. It comes from the left front side mostly. Normally, it happens when the car has been running for a while.
When I let go the gas it goes away. What could be the problem? I am now suspecting a loose engine mount.

Like, when you nail it from a standstill, or around a corner? That could be your lack of an LSD.

Slipping sound? :eh: Like metal on metal?

I've heard of clunking, banging, clapping, clacking, thumping, rumbling, rubbery and stiff...but slipping? :chuckles:

Color me confused. h:

Not necessarily from a standstill or around a corner. Can be anytime during accleartion. Just normal accleration, and I am not even accelerating hard.

Maybe more like clunking, or rumbling, certainly not rubbery since I don't think the tires are touching anything.
It is really like some metal parts slipping against each other.

I replaced brake pads already. The "slipping" sounds came during acceleraton, not braking anyway.

i've heard brakes that only made noises under acceleration, plenty of times.

and you generally cannot hear an automatic transmission slip. give me a little time to think about this.

I am thinking of two clues:

1) It is accleration-related. Since when I let go the gas it goes away.
What parts are engaged when I step on gas pedal and then disengaged
when gas pedal released?

-drive shafts?
-gears (the car is automatic)?
-CV boots were replaced not too long ago, at that time, the CV joints
were okay. CV boots still fine, not leaking oil
-brake pads, rotors replaced
-engine mount?
-cylinder/ spark plug not firing?

2) It has to do with heat.
Normally, it happens when the car has been running for a while. After I let
the car sit for a few hours or overnight, the problem went away

-the problematic part expands and "slips" against another part
-it sounds and feels like cog wheels sliding against each other abnormally
