Hey I just put a 96 ex gauge cluster in my 98, dx hatch. The main plugs matched.. but theres a hole in the ex gauge cluter for a green plug/ green hole/ I had a yellow plug. that matched the yellow hole. but theres a spare for somthing>? anyone know what the green plug hole is for? Everything on the cluster works great. Thanks for the help on my previous posts.

O yea.. what should the RPM idle at?
This ones been asked a million times... DX redline... ? On auto trader when you go to car specs. it says 106 HP @ 6200 rpm. But ive heard it red lines at 6800rpm. I dont think it reves that high though... You tell me.

 

redline and hp rpm ratig are different
some cars have a peak HP at 3400 rpm with a redline at 7000

 

right before you hit 40-41 mph is the rev limiter

the green plug is for cruise control.... i noticed the same thing when i put a lx cluster in my cx. the wires in the plug go to the cruise light

 

:doh: thats what it was, i was trying to remember.

theres also a vtec indicator in jap island, there may be lines for that.

 

roger that, i figured the same when i swaped my gauges too into my canadian lx, it had a cruise control light, but i didn't have anything to plug into it, it freaked me out of course, cause i thought that was where the tach wire went in....
but it was all good in the end
