suspension woes
ok, so six months ago my front suspension started making this clunking sound. i jacked it up and poked around a little, but everything looked fine. the previous owner had the cv boots replaced at around 90k miles, and i'm at 133k now. there were no tears or leaks. the struts also looked ok, but the ride started to get sketchy and the alignment felt all jacked up, so i took it to a mechanic. as i suspected he told me the front struts were blown. i replaced them and got an alignment. everything was fine for around a month, with the exception of a creaking sound coming from the front. after the two months, the steering got all crappy again, and the ride is pretty rough. i suspect the struts are blown again (there isn't much play when i push on the fenders though.) i am on stock springs, and i replaced the front struts with kyb gr2s. what would cause these problems? would bad upper control arms/ball joints make a clunking/creaking sound and cause my struts to blow? is it my springs? i am pretty much at a loss here, so any help would be appreciated.
