Default Best Exhaust/Muffler for 2000 Integra

Hey guys, I've searched everywhere for the best exhaust (even han) and everyone has different opinions on different exhausts. For all of you who have a performance muffler (because that is what I'm shopping for) give me your feedback on how you like it. I'm looking for a decent sounding, not too loud of a muffler. I have a AEM short ram intake in my car already and it gives it a good low pitched noise but I was looking at the Skunk 2 Muffler and the Maganaflow Muffler as well and people had mixed opinions. I just basically want a good sounding (not too ricey) muffler that has a deep, high performance sound to it. Thanks!

I have the Tanabe Racing Medallion, she's loud like whoa! but a smooth deep sound. However it's too loud for me so when I'm not at the track I keep my silencer in there and it's much quieter.

If you want it to be not so loud, then I would stay away from canister style exhausts. These include the A'PEXi N1, Tanabe Racing Medalion, HKS Hiper, 5Zigen Fireball, skunk2 Mega Power, etc.

Personally I go for an exhaust with an oval muffler with a not too big tip, and full stainless pipes. Examples of this "format" are RS*R Exmag, GReddy SP2, Tanabe Super Hyper Medalion, DC Sports, Comptech, etc.

Sounds like you need a Apexi WS. After I got mine, I fell in love. Its a great sounding catback with a clean tone and also looks great. (Its far from "Rice")

Does the GReddy SP2, Tanabe Super Hyper Medalion and the Apexi WS come in just mufflers or axlebacks, because i don't have the money to spend 500+ on an exhaust ( I want to but can't) thanks for all the help guys.

Good question, I just got a 2000 Integra LS and I'm looking for a muffler too. Except, I want to be loud and deep. I don't want a cheap popcorn fart muffler, I want to be deep, smooth, and loud, for the cheapest price, lol.

Trust me, you don't want loud. Deep and smooth can be handled by a Greddy SP2 or other non-canister style muffler. Loud will get on your nerves on the freeway and get you all sorts of unwanted attention from the police...I can guarantee it.

The consensus view on this board has been that the Apexi World Sport Muffler is the best trade-off between volume and type of exhaust sound and the performance of the catback system..

Is the Magnaflow Universal stainless steel muffler loud or how does it compare to the Apexi WS?

No offense, but I don't need you telling me what I do/don't want. My friend had a Straight Through Muffler with a 4" inch tip and No resinator(sp?), it was loud and deep and I loved it. You're right, it was loud on the freeway, and yeah, Cops might say something, but it's worth the attention from everybody else. If I say I want loud, deep & smooth, then that's what I want.
